Rich Walsh manages the clean energy program at WGL Energy (NYSE: WGL). In his role, he is responsible for clean energy related client advisory, origination of investments, development of new product offerings and execution of the clean energy program strategy. To date, WGL Energy’s portfolio includes distributed generation projects in 19 states totaling over 200 MW and over $500mm invested. On the retail side of the business, WGL Energy has renewable energy partnerships in place with General Services Administration, the State of Maryland and many Fortune 500 Companies. Outside of his work with WGL Energy, Rich was selected as a member of the World Energy Council’s Global Future Energy Leaders 100 Programme, he is on the board of Young Professionals in Energy NYC Chapter, he is a member of the steering committee for the American Council on Renewable Energy’s Partnership for Renewable Energy Finance (ACORE PREF); and he is active with the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) serving on the SEIA project finance subcommittee.
Rich is a graduate of Samford University where he studied Finance and Spanish and was captain of the Men’s Tennis Team. He currently resides in New York City with his wife.
