Christopher Mansour

Christopher Mansour serves as Vice President of Federal Affairs. Before joining SEIA, Christopher served in the Obama Administration as the Director of Congressional and Legislative Affairs for the Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar from February 2009 to April 2013. Christopher provided the Secretary with direct advice on crafting, approving and advancing the Department’s legislative agenda through the Administration and the Congress, including the Omnibus Public Lands Management Act of 2000, the $3.4 billion Cobell settlement of federal mismanagement of individual Indian trust accounts and four Indian tribal water settlements totaling over a $1 billion.

Prior to his service in the Interior Department, Christopher served for 24 years with U.S. Representative Dale Kildee [MI] as his chief of staff and his principal legislative and political advisor. Christopher was responsible for advancing the Congressman’s diverse agenda of legislation to help Michigan’s struggling auto industry, to reform federal education and social welfare laws, and to conserve large tracts of Michigan’s natural lands, rivers and waters
